Meet Sofía and Mapi
Two ways of discovering the world.
Sofía looks at the world wanting to understand it. Mapi travels through it with curiosity and a compass always at the ready. Together they embody the Mundo Traveler philosophy: travelling as a family, discovering new places and turning every experience into a memory that stays with us as we grow.
Sofía started travelling as a baby, in her parents’ arms. One summer night in the Canary Islands she watched newborn turtles race towards the sea, and one of them decided to follow her. That is how she met Mapi, and they have travelled together ever since.

Curious, restless and always ready to find out what lies beyond the next path. Sofía reminds us that travelling is not just about reaching a place, but about understanding it, living it and coming back a little different.
She is 15 and her passport is full of stamps. She joins us for destinations, routes, culture, nature, food and travel stories, with the eyes of someone who grew up travelling.
Growing up is also discovering.
The travel companion
Mapi
Mapi carries the world drawn on its shell and loves maps, small adventures and those places that end up becoming big memories.
Hatched on a beach in the Canary Islands, Mapi goes along with the youngest travellers on their first trips.
Mapi has no status, race, religion or gender. Just a free little turtle, born to explore.
